Situated in the regional town of Mildura, between Victoria’s metropolitan capital Melbourne and the country’s remote interior, NAP Contemporary’s exhibition program reflects it's positioning between worlds.

Directors Erica Tarquinio and Riley Davison bring a wealth of knowledge from working in esteemed indigenous owned art centres in the Western Desert and Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands, to a commercial gallery focusing on showcasing significant voices in Pacific art.

With its beginnings as a Instagram account, New Australian Paintings, NAP opened it's bricks and mortar gallery space in 2022, followed by appearances in national and international art fairs in 2023, including Aotearoa Art Fair, New Zealand, and Spring1883 Art Fair, Melbourne Australia. NAP recently presented in Sydney Contemporary Art Fair 2024 edition.

NAP Contemporary is a signatory to the Indigenous Art Code (IAC) and collaborates with Indigenous owned art centres across Australia.

NAP Contemporary acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and operate. We pay our respects to elders past and present.
